Airport Customs Thwarts Attempt to Smuggle 4,255 Captagon Pills Held by Passenger Arriving from Syria

Inspectors from the General Administration of Customs at Kuwait International Airport’s Terminal 5 (T5) foiled an attempt to smuggle 4,255 pills of the narcotic drug Captagon, which were in the possession of a passenger arriving from Syria on a flight operated by one of the airlines.
The seizure followed suspicions regarding the passenger’s luggage, which was subjected to thorough inspection procedures using scanning equipment. The operation resulted in the discovery of three boxes containing Captagon pills hidden among the luggage in an attempt to conceal them from customs officers.
