“Ministry of Social Affairs and Labour” to “Charitable Societies”: Contribute to the “Emergency Response”

Following widespread engagement from private-sector economic companies and banks to support the Kuwait Emergency Response Fund, the Ministry of Social Affairs has called on charitable societies and endowments to contribute to the fund, in support of efforts to strengthen the state’s readiness to handle emergency situations and circumstances.

In an official letter addressed to charitable societies, the Ministry clarified that this initiative embodies the importance of partnership and institutional integration among various entities, and contributes to unifying national efforts, thereby enhancing the state’s capacity to address emergencies and urgent needs efficiently and effectively.

As part of the integration among government entities and the promotion of national responsibility, the Ministry of Social Affairs, represented by its Department of Charitable Societies and Endowments, has invited charitable societies and endowments to consider contributing to the Kuwait Emergency Response Fund, in support of efforts to bolster the state’s readiness to manage emergency cases and conditions.

The Ministry explained in its official correspondence to charitable societies and endowments that this appeal is based on the establishment of the fund, which is managed by the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development, with the aim of supporting and financing efforts to enhance the speed of response to emergency situations and mitigate their impact on infrastructure and vital facilities.

It emphasized that this initiative reflects the significance of partnership and institutional collaboration among different entities, and contributes to unifying national efforts, thereby strengthening the state’s ability to deal with challenges and urgent needs efficiently and effectively.
