Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences (KFAS) earns 230,000 dinars in the first half

• The company reported a net profit of 230,254 Kuwaiti dinars for the six-month period ended June 30, 2026, compared to 1,912,314 dinars in the same period of the previous year, representing a decline of 88 percent.

• Regarding operational performance compared to the first six months of last year, total operating revenues decreased by 26.4 percent to 354,320 dinars, down from 481,691 dinars during the first six months of the previous year.

• Total assets at the end of the first half of 2026 amounted to 23,247,364 dinars, compared to 22,456,160 dinars in the same period of 2025, representing an increase of 3.5 percent.

• Total shareholders’ equity for the first half of 2026 reached 18,881,900 dinars, compared to 17,984,110 dinars in the same period of 2025, reflecting an increase of 5 percent.

• The book value per share as of June 30, 2026, stood at 173 fils, compared to 165 fils per share as of June 30, 2025, an increase of 8 fils per share, or 5 percent.

• Earnings per share for the six-month period ended June 30, 2026, amounted to 2.11 fils per share, compared to 17.51 fils per share for the same period in 2025, representing a decline of 15.40 fils per share, or 88 percent.

• The return on assets for the six-month period ended June 30, 2026, was 1.0 percent, compared to 8.6 percent for the same period in 2025, a difference of 7.6 percentage points.

• The return on equity for the six-month period ended June 30, 2026, was 1.2 percent, a difference of 10 percentage points from the 11.2 percent recorded in the same period of the previous year.
