Launch of "Art Beach" events in Alexandria

The General Authority for Cultural Palaces in Egypt, under the leadership of artist Hisham Atwa, launched the “Art Beach” concert series at the Anfaush Cultural Palace, as part of the Egyptian Ministry of Culture’s summer activities program in Alexandria Governorate, and within the framework of the National Arts Project “Culture is Life.”

The culturally and artistically themed program began with a performance by the Anfaush Eastern Rhythms Ensemble, conducted by Maestro Ezzat Basiony, which presented a musical medley featuring a selection of songs celebrating the city of Alexandria, including “Alexandria Al-Mahrousa,” “Ya Marsi Ya Abu Al-Abbas,” “Balad Al-Rijala,” and “Iskandaraniya.”

The ensemble also performed a series of rhythm-driven songs that energized the audience in a theater that was at full capacity. These included “Wala Wahed Wala Miya,” “Alhaq Alayh,” “Eih Elly Betehdas El Deh,” “Ammal Tadla3,” “3 Daqa’iq,” “Ahlef,” “Bilash Al-Malama,” “Ramsheeny,” “Adawiya,” “Nar,” and “Ala Ramsheenyoonaha.”

The ensemble concluded its segment with a selection of traditional tarab songs requested by the audience, including “Jana El-Hawa,” “Fatt El-Mi3ad,” and “El-Hob Koloh.”

The ensemble also performed additional tarab songs, such as “El-Halou El-Frananda” and “Opera Aida,” and closed its set with a medley of 1990s hits that resonated strongly with the audience, featuring “El-Soud A3younoh,” “La Kan 3ala El-Khatir,” “Halal 3aleik,” “Maresil,” “Bilash Netkallem El-Madi,” and “Yalla Bina Yalla.”

The day concluded with an artistic performance by the Port Said National Folklore Ensemble, led by artist Mohamed Abu Saleh. The show featured a series of choreographic pieces inspired by Port Said’s folklore, including “Al-Sayadeen,” “Mahalak Ya Samak,” “Al-Bahriya,” “Ah Ya La Lali,” “Al-Samsamiya,” and “Betghanni Le Min Ya Hamam,” drawing significant audience engagement.
