Ministry of Education Closes Private Iranian School and Revokes Its License

In line with its legal and regulatory responsibilities and its commitment to safeguarding the public interest and ensuring that educational institutions comply with prevailing laws and regulations, Minister of Education Eng. Sayed Jalal Al-Tabatabai issued a ministerial decision revoking the educational license granted to the Iranian Private School in Kuwait. This decision was based on the provisions of laws and regulations governing private education, following a review of reports from the General Directorate of Private Education and in light of public interest considerations.

The decision stipulated the termination of the license renewal decision previously issued to the school and its closure, while entrusting the General Directorate of Private Education with taking the necessary measures to implement the decision. These measures include notifying the school to cease accepting new students starting from the 2026/2027 academic year, and informing the parents of enrolled students to take the necessary steps to transfer their children to other schools before the start of the 2026/2027 academic year, thereby ensuring their educational stability and preventing any disruption to their academic progress.

The Ministry of Education emphasized that the General Directorate of Private Education will monitor the implementation of all procedures outlined in the decision and coordinate with relevant authorities to ensure a smooth transition for students to other schools, guaranteeing their continued education without any interruption or adverse impact on their academic journey.
