Israeli Army: One Officer and One Soldier Killed, Four Soldiers Injured in Bomb Explosion in Southern Lebanon

The Israeli military announced on Thursday that an officer and a reservist soldier were killed following an explosive device blast in the town of Majdal Zoun in southern Lebanon, marking the first such incident since the fragile ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah came into effect last June.
The military added that the two soldiers died in the blast in Majdal Zoun, without providing further details about the circumstances of the incident.
On Wednesday, the Israeli military launched airstrikes on southern Lebanon in response to what it described as a Hezbollah violation of the ceasefire, and issued a call for residents of the town of Mansouri to leave their homes, marking the first such warning issued by Israel in Lebanon in weeks.
