Ambassador Al-Mutairi Discusses Cooperation with Malta

Kuwait’s Ambassador to Malta, Meshal Al-Mutairi, held talks with Maltese Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Affairs Chris Fenech on ways to enhance cooperation and address international issues of mutual interest, foremost among them the situation in the Middle East.
The Kuwaiti Embassy stated in a statement to KUNA that the two sides discussed the distinguished relations between the two friendly countries and ways to enhance cooperation in economic, commercial, and educational fields, as well as to broaden the scope of bilateral relations.
According to the statement, the two sides agreed to strengthen scientific and academic cooperation between the two countries and increase the number of students, while also discussing the possibility of opening study missions for other specializations at the University of Malta.
As mentioned in the statement, approximately 154 Kuwaiti students are currently studying in Malta, most of them in medical fields.
