US President expresses satisfaction with the progress of talks with Iran: proceeding very well

U.S. President Donald Trump expressed his satisfaction on Wednesday with the progress of talks with the Iranian side, confirming that they are “moving forward very well” and that he expects results to emerge within two days.
Trump told reporters before departing California for Nevada, “We have made significant progress; we are moving forward very well, and I believe it would be highly wise for Iran to reach an agreement, but we will see what happens, perhaps within 48 hours.”
He reiterated that the Iranian side had contacted him requesting talks, but he expressed surprise at Iran’s denial of this fact.
Last Saturday, the U.S. president announced the postponement of a wave of intense strikes that the United States had planned to launch against Iran, in order to pave the way for the resumption of talks. The following day (Sunday), he stated that a new round of negotiations between the two countries would begin at the start of the week (the day before yesterday).
