Blue Youth Ramp Up Preparations as Jordanian Delegation Arrives Today

The Jordanian U-20 national football team delegation arrives in the country today, where it will play two friendly matches against the Kuwaiti national team of the same age group on the 8th and 11th of this month. These matches are part of the second phase of the preparation program ahead of the seventh group stage of the Asian Youth Championship qualifiers, which will be hosted by Cambodia from the 31st of this month until September 6 next year.

The draw placed Kuwait in a group alongside the host nation, Cambodia, as well as Yemen and Japan. This has prompted the technical staff to intensify preparations and ensure the players are in peak condition before the official competitions begin.

In parallel, the Kuwait Football Association has addressed the Public Authority for Youth and Sports to allocate a stadium to host the two matches, with the matter expected to be finalized today.

The Jordanian team is scheduled to hold a single training session tomorrow, Friday, ahead of their first match. Meanwhile, the Kuwaiti national team, under the guidance of Croatian coach Virdo Milin, will continue its training sessions at the late Abdulrahman Al-Bakr Stadium, affiliated with the Kuwait Football Association. Kuwait is ramping up its technical and physical preparation for the upcoming matches, particularly given the high level of youth teams in Jordan.

It is worth noting that the Jordanian U-20 team recently returned from a training camp in the Netherlands, which included three friendly matches. They will conclude their preparations with another camp in Thailand from the 14th to the 28th of this month, featuring two matches against the UAE and Iraq on the 19th and 24th, respectively.
