Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister: Understanding on new arrangements in the Strait of Hormuz is close to completion

He added that preliminary understandings had been reached on most files, including maps of maritime entry and exit routes and the technical aspects related to them.

He noted that Iran had requested a change to the current navigation routes in the Strait of Hormuz, as they were no longer suitable under the current security conditions.

He confirmed that the understanding between Iran and the Sultanate of Oman regarding the new arrangements in the Strait of Hormuz was close to completion.
