Wio Bank, Kuwait’s first digital bank, organized an awards ceremony honoring top high school graduates from various schools across Kuwait, attended by Dr. Khaled Al-Rashid, Deputy Minister of Education, and Mohammed Al-Othaim, Chief Executive Officer of Personal and Digital Banking at Kuwait Finance House (KFH), alongside senior bank executives and parents of the honored students.

This event aligns with Wio Bank’s ongoing commitment to supporting and empowering Kuwaiti youth at key transitional stages in their lives, particularly the transition from secondary to higher education, by offering innovative digital banking solutions that align with the aspirations and digital lifestyle of the new generation.

The event featured a comprehensive program combining recognition and empowerment, while highlighting the benefits of the SELECT card for university students, designed to facilitate their financial experience from the start of their academic journey.

The ceremony also included honoring outstanding students and presenting them with commemorative shields, along with a prize draw for valuable gifts and professional photography sessions for graduates as a gift from the bank to be used during their upcoming academic and professional careers. Interactive sessions brought together students and their families in a festive atmosphere.

Al-Rashid stated, “Honoring outstanding students is a well-deserved recognition of the effort and perseverance they have demonstrated throughout their years of study. It also reflects the importance of partnership between state institutions and the private sector in supporting and empowering Kuwaiti youth.” He added, “We appreciate this initiative by Wio Bank, which goes beyond celebrating students’ achievements to also prepare them for university and enhance their readiness for the future.”

For his part, Al-Othaim said, “We are proud today to honor a select group of Kuwaiti youth who have proven that ambition and diligence lead to success. At Wio Bank, we believe our role extends beyond providing digital banking services to include empowering and supporting young people during the most critical stages of their lives. From this perspective, we strive to develop innovative banking solutions and experiences that meet their needs and support their financial independence from their early educational stages until they enter the job market.”

Al-Othaim added that “Wio continues to solidify its position as the first and best digital bank for youth in Kuwait by offering a comprehensive banking experience specifically designed for the new generation, ensuring easy access to smart and secure financial services that help them achieve their future goals and aspirations.”

In response to this initiative by Wio, graduates noted that the recognition was an exceptional experience and a source of pride for them and their families. It also helped introduce them to services and benefits supporting their university journey, emphasizing that such initiatives enhance their ambitions and encourage them to continue achieving success.

Through its youth-focused initiatives and programs, Wio continues to strengthen its role as a genuine partner for the next generation by providing innovative digital financial solutions and value-added experiences that support young people’s ambitions and empower them to build a more successful and independent future.
