IMF: Syrian Economy Sees Growing Recovery

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) stated that the Syrian economy is experiencing increasing recovery, with growth projections exceeding 10% in 2026 and continued strong growth in 2027.
CNBC reported that an IMF delegation, which visited Damascus between July 19 and 23 to assess the economic situation and discuss reforms and policy priorities with Syrian authorities, said the growth was supported by improvements in agriculture, oil and gas production, electricity, trade, and services, as well as the return of refugees, an increase in the number of visitors, and government spending.
