Tenders: KD 4.31 million for electrical network maintenance

The operation and maintenance of electrical transmission networks hold strategic importance as key components of the energy system, serving as the link between power generation stations, load centers, and consumption areas across the country’s various governorates. Maintaining their efficiency is therefore essential to ensuring the stability of the electricity supply.
The tender’s scope includes implementing preventive and periodic maintenance programs for transmission network equipment and facilities, monitoring the readiness of stations and electrical components, and conducting necessary technical inspections. These efforts contribute to reducing the likelihood of failures and enhancing response speeds to emergencies that could disrupt the continuity of electricity supply.
The Ministry relies on continuous technical studies to evaluate network performance and identify development and modernization needs, in accordance with the latest international standards adopted in the energy sector, while emphasizing the application of safety and security requirements during the execution of various works.
The Ministry is committed to developing the technical workforce across its sectors through training programs and intergenerational knowledge transfer, ensuring that operation and maintenance activities are carried out with high efficiency and in compliance with approved technical requirements.
This contract award aligns with the Ministry of Electricity’s strategy to strengthen electrical infrastructure and improve the operational reliability of the national grid, amid rising energy demand and ongoing urban expansion in the country.
The Ministry continues to implement its operation, maintenance, and modernization projects to support grid stability under various operational conditions, particularly during the summer season, which witnesses a significant increase in electricity consumption rates, thereby ensuring the provision of stable and safe electricity services to consumers.
