Al-Misalekh: Writing workshop with six authors for the upcoming play "Trend"

Artist Badr Al-Misailekh expressed his joy at joining a writing workshop led by writer Jassem Al-Jalahma, alongside authors Saud Al-Saeed, Razan Mubarak, Alfi, and Lam, in preparation for presenting an unprecedented theatrical work during the upcoming Eid al-Fitr in 2027.

Al-Misailekh said, “I am honored to join the project with Trend Company as a writer, under the leadership of the esteemed writer Jassem Al-Jalahma and alongside my creative colleagues in the writing workshop. I pray to God that we succeed in presenting a work worthy of the audience. I also extend my sincere thanks to artist Abdulrahman Al-Yahya and director Badr Al-Shaibi for their trust, and I hope to live up to their good expectations, with this collaboration marking the beginning of distinguished works.”

Artist Badr Al-Shaibi noted that through his production company, Trend, a distinguished artistic work will be presented, written by Jassem Al-Jalahma and his creative writing team, in a play that marks the first time six authors have collaborated in thought, effort, and creativity.

Al-Shaibi is striving, through his new workshop, to maintain his leading theatrical position in the season’s productions. During the current season, he achieved the highest attendance rates with his ongoing play “Kuwait Carnival,” staged at the Kuwait Club Theatre in Qibla. The production features actors Yaqoub Abdullah, Ahmad Eirag, Farah Al-Sarraf, Nasser Al-Dosari, Ryan Dashti, Hani Hazaa, Haneen Hamed, Nour Mahmoud, Dhafer Al-Rashdan, Talal Sam, Rahaf Mohammed, Nasser Abbas, Fahad Al-Saleh, Faisal Farid, and Abdullah Abbas, with writing by Mariam Nasser, general supervision by Abdulrahman Al-Yahya, and direction by Badr Al-Shaibi.
