Kuwait condemns continued Israeli violations and targeting of civilians in Gaza

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed Kuwait’s strong condemnation and rejection of the ongoing violations committed by the occupying forces in the Gaza Strip, particularly the targeting of civilians and health facilities, which has resulted in casualties, including women and children, in blatant violation of international law and international humanitarian law.

The Ministry emphasized that the continuation of these violations constitutes a breach of the ceasefire agreement, undermines the efforts of intermediary states and relevant parties to implement subsequent phases, and exacerbates the suffering of civilians.

Kuwait also called on the international community to uphold its responsibilities, ensure the protection of civilians, humanitarian workers, and medical facilities, and guarantee the unimpeded delivery of aid, with a view to achieving a permanent ceasefire and ending the humanitarian suffering in the Gaza Strip.

On another note, the Ministry expressed Kuwait’s condemnation and rejection of the bombing that targeted a police center in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province in northwestern Pakistan, which resulted in the deaths and injuries of several police officers and civilians.

The Ministry reaffirmed Kuwait’s full solidarity with the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, its rejection of all forms of violence and terrorism, and conveyed its sincere condolences and heartfelt sympathies to the friendly government and people of Pakistan, as well as to the families of the victims, while wishing the injured a speedy recovery.
