UAE Ambassador: Kuwait's security is an integral part of our security

The UAE Ambassador to Kuwait, Matar Al Nayer, affirmed that “Kuwait’s security is an integral part of the security of the United Arab Emirates,” noting that “UAE-Kuwaiti relations continue their trajectory of growth and prosperity across various fields, thanks to the patronage and attention afforded by the leaderships of the two brotherly countries.”

Al Nayer, in a post on the X platform, stated that the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait represented a pivotal moment that demonstrated the depth of the fraternal bonds between the two nations. In this context, he recalled the historic saying of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan, may God have mercy on him: “Kuwait will return to its people, whether in war or in peace.”

He pointed out that this stance was practically manifested through the participation of the UAE Armed Forces in Kuwait’s liberation operations, as they were among the first forces to enter Kuwaiti territory, contributing to repelling the invading forces. He noted that UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed was part of the UAE contingent that participated in Operation Desert Storm.

The UAE Ambassador emphasized the strength of the historical and fraternal relations uniting the two countries and their peoples, praying to God to protect Kuwait and its people, to envelop its martyrs in His boundless mercy, and to perpetuate the blessings of security and stability upon the nation.
