Al-Shatai aircraft departs for Jordan to participate in West Asia

Today, the Kuwait men’s and women’s beach volleyball teams departed for the Jordanian capital, Amman, to compete in the first round of the West Asia Championship, scheduled to take place from August 3 to 9. This move reflects the Kuwait Volleyball Association’s commitment to strengthening the presence of national teams in regional competitions.
The administrative delegation includes Isa Al-Salim and national coach Ahmed Abdulrazzaq, alongside men’s team players Abdulwahab Talib, Meshal Al-Omar, Barak Khasraw, and Ibrahim Diaa. The women’s team is represented by players Halima Abdullah Rashid, Alaa Al-Bahou, Janan Abdulrahman, and Dana Salama. Following the conclusion of the first round in Jordan, the delegation will proceed directly to Lebanon to participate in the second round of the championship, which will be held there from August 9 to 14, highlighting a demanding schedule of international engagements.
In a separate development, the Kuwait U-17 national team continues its preparations for the second Arab Championship, set to take place in Manama, Bahrain, from August 7 to 17. The team suffered a three-set defeat against Egypt in its second exhibition match in Cairo, after securing a victory over Qatar in the same scoreline in their opening game. The squad is undergoing intensive daily training during its overseas camp ahead of departure for Bahrain, aiming to deliver an impressive performance in the upcoming tournament.
