Al-Zaidi to Saudi Arabia next week

An Iraqi source told Al Arabiya television today that Iraqi Prime Minister Ali al-Zoubaidi will travel to Saudi Arabia next week.

The announcement comes after a previous visit, scheduled for last week, was postponed.

The visit was delayed due to strikes targeting several facilities belonging to Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Forces, which Saudi Arabia accused of carrying out drone attacks on oil installations within the kingdom.

Prime Minister Ali al-Zoubaidi requested that Saudi Arabia provide documents and evidence proving that the attacks were launched from Iraqi territory. In his capacity as Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, he formed a security committee to monitor any information provided by the Saudi side.
