Housing Authority Notifies Residents of East Taima to Vacate by September 1

The Public Authority for Housing Welfare has notified homeowners of government housing units in the East Timaa area of the Evacuation by September 1 next year.

The letter addressed to the owners of 509 plots stated that "the Public Authority for Housing Welfare has issued its decision to terminate and cancel the rental agreement for the house rented to you located in the East Timaa area and to vacate it, and the evacuation date has been set for September 1 next year."

This action by the Public Authority for Housing Welfare comes in implementation of Decree-Law No. 83 of 2025, which cancels the provision of Article 29 bis of the Housing Welfare Law, commonly known as the "He Who Sells His House" law. The cancellation of this law was issued last July and published in the Official Gazette.
