Roads Engineering at the Ministry of Public Works Discusses Agreements on Routes, Facilities, and Truck Weights

The Ministry of Public Works, represented by the Road Engineering Department, held a meeting attended by representatives from the Ministry of Interior, the Municipality of Kuwait, the General Customs Authority, and the Kuwait Ports Authority to discuss agreements and the design of truck weighing routes and their associated facilities in the State of Kuwait.

The Ministry stated in a press release on Monday that its Design Department prepared a terms of reference document outlining a comprehensive study of the truck stations, facilities, and routes required in Kuwait. A visual presentation was delivered, detailing the project’s strategic objectives, the scope of the study, and the expected outputs and outcomes.

It was further noted that the requirements and observations of each participating entity were discussed, and it was agreed to hold periodic coordination meetings to finalize the comprehensive framework for the truck weighing system study.

The State of Kuwait is witnessing rapid urban expansion and a continuous increase in road transport activity. In line with its plan, the Ministry is working to improve, construct, and maintain asphalt on major roads.
