First country to take the step... Wales withdraws support for Infantino's re-election as FIFA president

UEFA and CONCACAF, the governing body for football in North America, Central America, and the Caribbean, also issued statements criticizing FIFA’s leadership following Infantino’s reversal of his plan.

The Football Association of Wales stated that “recent failures in good governance, operations, leadership, values, stakeholder management, communication, sound judgment, and integrity have brought us to a position where Mr. Infantino has lost the confidence of the Football Association of Wales to remain at the helm of world football.”

It added, “Failing to put the interests of football first is something we cannot accept.”
