Roma signs Greek player Koliarakis

Italian club AS Roma officially announced the signing of Greek defender Konstantinos Koulierakis from German side Wolfsburg in a deal valued at €16.5 million, plus bonuses that include 20% of any future resale value.

The Greek player underwent his medical examination yesterday and signed a five-year contract, according to Football Italia. He will wear the number 33 shirt for Roma.

Koulierakis came through the youth academy of Greek club PAOK Thessaloniki before moving to Wolfsburg in 2024 for approximately €11.75 million. There was also interest from English club Crystal Palace and Portuguese club Benfica, but Roma completed the deal this evening to bolster their defensive options.
