On another note, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry announced the addition of artificial intelligence services and solutions as an activity, within the limits stipulated in the Unified Guide for the Classification of Economic Activities in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.

The ministry stated in a press release that the regulatory authority for this activity is the Public Authority for Communications and Information Technology.
