Bin Zayed and Zelensky discuss enhancing cooperation and regional developments in a phone call

Emirati President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan received a phone call on Saturday from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The Emirates News Agency (WAM) reported that the two leaders discussed enhancing cooperative ties between the two countries across various fields serving their mutual interests, within the framework of the comprehensive economic partnership linking them.

During the call, Mohamed bin Zayed and Zelenskyy also reviewed developments in the Ukrainian crisis and its humanitarian repercussions. In this context, the Ukrainian President expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the Emirati President for the continuous diplomatic efforts undertaken by the UAE to facilitate prisoner exchange operations between Russia and Ukraine, as well as for the attention paid to the humanitarian aspects of the crisis.

The two sides exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues and developments of common interest, emphasizing the importance of intensifying efforts to promote peace, stability, and regional and global security for the benefit of the peoples of the world and their development.
