Iranian insistence on continuing treachery

Hours before the 36th anniversary of Saddam’s brutal invasion, Kuwait received another episode in the saga of Iranian treachery, which once again targeted vital civilian institutions, blatantly disregarding international laws and treaties and the principles of good neighborliness.

Al-Atwan added that the reprehensible Iranian aggression targeted several vital civilian and military facilities, including a government facility in the north of the country and vehicles belonging to a civilian company on Bubiyan Island, resulting in material damage due to falling shrapnel, with no human casualties reported.

For its part, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed Kuwait’s condemnation and strongest rejection of the continued aggression against the country, which constitutes a blatant violation of its sovereignty, a direct threat to its security and stability, and a serious breach of the rules of international law, the UN Charter, the principles of good neighborliness, and Security Council Resolution 2817.

The Ministry emphasized in a statement that the continuation of these brazen attacks reflects a determination to persist in a hostile approach, thereby undermining security and stability in the region and exacerbating tensions.

It reiterated Kuwait’s firm and legitimate right to take all necessary measures to safeguard its sovereignty, protect its security, interests, capabilities, and the safety of its citizens and residents on its soil.

On the Gulf cooperation front, Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jassem Al-Buaidi stated that Iran’s reprehensible attacks on Kuwait are a continuation of its hostile policy aimed at destabilizing security and stability in the region. He described them as a brazen aggression and a blatant violation of Kuwait’s sovereignty, a direct threat to its security, stability, and the safety of its citizens and residents, as well as a serious violation of the principles of international law and the UN Charter.

Al-Buaidi affirmed in a statement yesterday the GCC’s full solidarity with Kuwait and its support for all measures taken to preserve its security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.

Amid the 36th anniversary of Saddam’s brutal invasion of Kuwait, Iran’s persistent treachery has continued since late February last year, targeting civilian institutions with its attacks without any justification or regard for international laws, treaties, and the principles of good neighborliness.

Official spokesperson for the Ministry of Defense, Colonel Saud Al-Atwan, stated that the Armed Forces had monitored hostile drones within the country’s airspace over the past two days, and they were dealt with and destroyed.

Al-Atwan added that the reprehensible Iranian aggression targeted several vital civilian and military facilities, including a government facility in the north of the country, as well as vehicles belonging to a civilian company on Bubiyan Island, resulting in material damage due to falling shrapnel, with no human casualties, praise be to God.

He emphasized that the Armed Forces continue to carry out their duties and responsibilities with high efficiency, within the framework of continuous readiness and constant preparedness, taking all necessary measures to protect the nation’s sovereignty and safeguard its security and stability, in coordination with competent authorities, to ensure the safety of citizens and residents.

For its part, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed Kuwait’s condemnation and strongest rejection of the continued reprehensible Iranian aggression against the country, which targeted several vital civilian and military facilities, including a government facility in the north of the country, as well as civilian vehicles belonging to a civilian company on Bubiyan Island, using hostile drones. This constitutes a blatant violation of Kuwait’s sovereignty, a direct threat to its security and stability, and a serious breach of the rules of international law, the UN Charter, the principles of good neighborliness, and Security Council Resolution 2817.

The ministry emphasized in a statement that the continuation of these blatant attacks reflects a determination to persist in a hostile approach, which undermines security and stability in the region, exacerbates tensions, and noted that continuing such attacks constitutes a serious escalation and reflects a systematic hostile approach that cannot be justified or accepted.

The ministry reiterated Kuwait’s inherent and legitimate right to take all necessary measures to safeguard its sovereignty, protect its security, interests, assets, and the safety of its citizens and residents on its territory.

On the Arab front, Jordan condemned the brazen Iranian attacks on Kuwait, which targeted several key facilities, including a government facility in the north of the country and civilian vehicles belonging to a civilian company on Bubiyan Island, using drones.

The statement affirmed Jordan’s absolute solidarity with Kuwait and its support for all steps taken to protect its sovereignty, security, and the safety of its citizens and residents.

For its part, the Kingdom of Bahrain expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation on Tuesday of the repeated, heinous Iranian attacks on civilian and key facilities in the sister state of Kuwait, in a blatant violation of its sovereignty, security, and stability, and a direct threat to the safety of civilians and residents on its territory, as well as a serious breach of international law, the UN Charter, and a flagrant violation of Security Council Resolution 2817.

In a statement, the Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs praised the competence and readiness of the Kuwaiti Armed Forces, which repelled and destroyed several hostile drones yesterday, reaffirming the Kingdom of Bahrain’s full solidarity with the sister state of Kuwait and its complete support for all deterrent measures taken to preserve its sovereignty, security, stability, and territorial integrity.

It stressed the necessity of the immediate and comprehensive cessation of the heinous and unjustified attacks carried out by Iran and its proxies against countries in the region, and the halting of threats to maritime navigation, thereby enhancing regional and international security and stability.

The Yemeni Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed in a statement its full solidarity with Kuwait and its standing by its side in all legitimate measures taken to protect its security and sovereignty.

The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Jassem Al-Bouaidi, expressed his strongest condemnation and denunciation of the heinous Iranian attacks that targeted a government facility and vehicles belonging to a civilian company on Bubiyan Island in Kuwait.

Al-Bouaidi noted in a statement that these heinous Iranian attacks are a continuation of their hostile policy aimed at destabilizing security and stability in the region, representing a blatant aggression and a flagrant violation of Kuwait’s sovereignty, a direct threat to its security, stability, and the safety of its citizens and residents, and a serious breach of the principles of international law and the UN Charter.

He affirmed the GCC’s full solidarity with Kuwait and its support for all measures taken to safeguard its security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.
