Spanish coach Diniya appointed as head coach of Czechia

The 52-year-old De la Fuente succeeds Miroslav Koubek, who stepped down on June 29 after the Czech national team was eliminated in the group stage of the World Cup.

De la Fuente achieved success with Spain’s youth teams, winning the UEFA European Under-17 Championship in 2017 and the UEFA European Under-19 Championship in 2019, before leading the Spain Under-23 side to gold at the Paris 2024 Olympics, defeating Thierry Henry’s French team.
