"Tenders: Submission of bids for cloud data center stations tomorrow"

The Central Tenders Board has set tomorrow as the deadline for submitting bids for the tender to supply and install three main substations for the cloud data centers project in various locations, along with their feeders and accessories. After the bids are opened, they will be referred to the Ministry of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy for review, and a technical recommendation will be prepared within 30 days of referral to facilitate the award decision.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Electricity is currently working to finalize the procedures for launching the project to construct, complete, and maintain a 1600mm fresh water pipeline from the Abdullah Port Water Distribution Complex to the West Al-Fanitiya Complex, and a 1200mm low-salinity water pipeline from the Abdullah Port Complex to the Al-Zour Complex, along with associated works. The Ministry recently contacted the Central Tenders Board to seek approval for the tender to be open to qualified companies registered with the Board.
The project is among the developmental initiatives included in the Ministry’s plan, represented by its Water Projects Sector, which aims to supply fresh and low-salinity water to the West Al-Fanitiya area and surrounding regions, ensuring a continuous and stable water flow at normal rates around the clock without interruptions or pressure drops.
In a related development, the Ministry’s Water Projects Sector has included two similar projects in its plan: the first involves constructing and completing a 1200mm ductile iron fresh water pipeline from Al-Mutla High to the Low-Cost Housing Area; the second entails constructing, completing, and maintaining main fresh water pipelines of 1200mm ductile iron from Water Al-Wafra Complex No. 1 to the southern part of the Sabah Al-Ahmed Residential City. These initiatives are part of the Ministry’s efforts to provide and enhance the fresh water network to serve the residents of these areas.
