US Embassies Warn Citizens in the Middle East: Prepare and Consider Leaving

On Saturday, U.S. embassies in several countries in the region issued synchronized warnings to their citizens, urging them to exercise increased caution and vigilance, prepare for potential disruptions to travel, and consider leaving the region if tensions escalate.

The U.S. Embassy in Israel advised American citizens in the region to consider departing or preparing to leave if an escalation occurs.

In Jordan, the U.S. Embassy urged its nationals in the Middle East to exercise caution and prepare for the possibility of flight cancellations and repeated airspace closures.

The embassy in Amman also advised Americans to avoid travel to military bases in Jordan and reminded them that Iran has targeted civilian and critical infrastructure across the Middle East.
