110.5% growth in Al-Sarafa's profits during the first half

Profits of money exchange companies rose during the first half of this year, supported by strong revenue growth that outpaced the rate of expense increases, resulting in a significant jump in the sector’s net profit compared to the same period last year.
According to data from the Central Bank of Kuwait, the net profit of money exchange companies reached 31.48 million dinars during the period from January to June last year, compared to profits of 14.95 million dinars during the corresponding period in 2025, an increase of 16.53 million dinars, representing a 110.5 percent rise.
Total revenues also increased to 66.57 million dinars, compared to 46.46 million dinars in the first half of 2025, an increase of 20.11 million dinars, or 43.3 percent.
Total expenses amounted to approximately 35.08 million dinars, compared to 31.51 million dinars during the same period last year, an increase of 3.58 million dinars, or 11.4 percent. However, revenue growth outpaced expense growth, supporting the rise in profits of money exchange companies during the first half of the year.
