Interior Ministry: 1,253 wanted individuals and violators apprehended as part of the ongoing security campaign in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh
The Ministry of Interior announced the apprehension of 1,253 wanted individuals and violators of the residency and labor laws as part of the comprehensive security campaign ongoing in the Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh area, implemented under the directives of the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahad Youssef Al-Saud Al-Sabah.
The Ministry stated in a press release on Saturday that the campaign, led by Deputy Minister of Interior Major General Abdulwahab Al-Wahab and in coordination with relevant government entities, continues field measures aimed at eliminating violations, enhancing public security and order, and addressing existing infractions in the area.
It added that security agencies and field teams are continuing their operations in cooperation with competent government authorities, including inspecting evacuated residences and monitoring and apprehending any attempts to violate security procedures and decisions issued by the relevant authorities.
The Ministry clarified that the campaign’s results also led to the apprehension of 36 children born out of incest, accompanied by their mothers, with necessary legal measures taken against them and their referral to the competent authorities.
The statement noted that the Kuwait Municipality issued 777 violation reports, removed 27 abandoned vehicles, and placed 64 warning notices on abandoned vehicles, in addition to carrying out cleaning operations in the streets of Al-Tamayuz Private School, Street 162, and surrounding areas, with continued inspection rounds to monitor violations.
It further stated that the Ministry of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy reduced electrical loads in the Farwaniya Governorate by 60 percent due to cutting power supply to 1,200 non-compliant residences, while the Ministry of Public Works identified 1,432 houses at risk of collapse, closed 20 illegal sewage connections, and treated 60 cases of sewage overflow in the area’s streets.
The statement indicated that the Ministry of Commerce and Industry issued 256 seizure reports and issued 10 closure orders, while the Ministry of Health treated 784 cases at the shelter center and referred 61 cases to hospitals. Meanwhile, the General Fireforce implemented 188 administrative closure orders.
The statement mentioned that the Public Authority for Manpower conducted 6,511 inspection cases on shops and investment establishments, apprehended 1,471 violating establishments, and took legal action against them. It also physically inspected 376 individuals, identified 129 cases of paying money for residency, and referred 110 individuals from the expatriate workers’ shelter center to the Deportation Department, with continued inspection rounds in the area to monitor infractions and violations.
The Ministry added that previous stages of the campaign resulted in the evacuation of non-compliant residences and the apprehension of large numbers of wanted individuals and violators of the residency and labor laws.
The Ministry emphasized, according to the statement, that security campaigns will continue and will cover all violating areas according to a comprehensive field plan, stressing that all legal measures will be taken against anyone proven to have committed a violation, contributing to the preservation of public security and order, preventing the recurrence of infractions and violations, and enhancing the quality of life.
