"Al-Taqaddum Al-Ilmi" Concludes the Tenth Edition of the "Generation of Science" Program 2026

The Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences (KFAS) announced on Friday the conclusion of the tenth edition of the “Generation of Science” program for 2026, which targeted middle and high school students. The program delivered an interactive educational experience that combined scientific lectures, practical workshops, experiments, and field visits.

In a press release, the foundation stated that the program is part of its efforts to foster young people’s interest in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM), and to promote a culture of research and innovation through an enabling environment that facilitates the transition from acquiring knowledge to hands-on experience and application.

It clarified that the program’s content was tailored to the age and cognitive levels of participants. The middle school stage focused on cultivating scientific passion and enhancing thinking and communication skills, while the high school stage offered deeper content in creative thinking, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.

The foundation noted that the program engaged a distinguished group of Kuwaiti academics and researchers to deliver content aligned with Kuwait’s priorities and developmental needs. It also provided students with the opportunity to explore diverse scientific disciplines and visit academic environments to discover their interests and gain a clear vision of their future career paths.

Emphasizing that the program’s continuation for its tenth year reflects the foundation’s commitment to investing in the country’s young national talents and preparing a generation equipped with the knowledge and skills to contribute to the nation’s future, the foundation highlighted that this aligns with its 2025–2029 strategy, which aims to develop capabilities and strengthen the role of science in building a knowledge-based economy.
