"Persons with Disabilities": Registration for Overseas Scholarships Open Until August 13

The Public Authority for Persons with Disabilities announced the opening of registration for the external scholarship program for the 2026/2027 academic year, from Sunday, August 2, to Thursday, August 13, as part of its programs aimed at supporting students with disabilities and enabling them to continue their university education at distinguished academic institutions outside the State of Kuwait.

The Authority noted that applications are open to Kuwaiti students who meet the announced conditions, the foremost of which is holding a valid disability certification, being no older than 25 years of age, and having obtained a high school diploma within the specified timeframe.

It further emphasized that admission also requires achieving the minimum required percentage according to the type of disability, and meeting English language proficiency requirements by obtaining a score of no less than 5.5 in the IELTS test or 47 in the TOEFL test, from one of the centers accredited by the Ministry of Higher Education.

The Authority confirmed that the scholarship program does not cover majors in human medicine, dentistry, or pharmacy, and urged interested students to review all conditions, regulations, and available majors, and to complete the application procedures within the announced period.

It stressed that supporting the education of persons with disabilities constitutes a fundamental pillar in achieving sustainable development and consolidating the principle of equal opportunity, thereby enabling students to build their academic and professional futures and enhancing their contribution to serving the nation.
