- Absolutely. Pakistan is keen to expand its economic partnership with Kuwait, especially given the promising opportunities in sectors such as agriculture, food security, conventional and renewable energy, infrastructure, logistics, information technology, industrial cooperation, and beyond. I hope the visit will provide new momentum to ongoing discussions and encourage the private sectors of both countries to enhance cooperation and investment.
- Human resource cooperation represents one of the strongest pillars of Kuwaiti-Pakistani relations. Islamabad is committed to supporting Kuwait’s Vision 2035 by providing highly skilled and disciplined human resources, including doctors, engineers, IT specialists, technicians, and other skilled workers. Both sides look forward to strengthening this partnership to achieve mutual benefit.
• Following Kuwait’s approval of the Defense Cooperation Agreement with Pakistan, do you expect its practical implementation to begin?
- The Defense Cooperation Agreement, signed in 2023, provides an excellent institutional framework for expanding military cooperation between the two countries. Pakistan takes pride in its long-standing defense partnership with Kuwait and looks forward to enhancing cooperation in areas such as military training, professional exchanges, counter-terrorism, cybersecurity, intelligence cooperation, and technical capacity building. The implementation of the agreement will be part of the broader bilateral cooperation agenda.
- The two sides will exchange views on developments in the Gulf region, South Asia, and the Middle East, as well as on a number of international issues of common interest.

The upcoming priorities include increasing bilateral trade volume, encouraging investments, enhancing economic connectivity, expanding cooperation in technology and innovation, supporting partnerships in food security and energy, and intensifying communication between public and private sector institutions in both countries.
