Moroccan King Mohammed VI names the country's longest highway the Trump Highway

U.S. President Donald Trump posted on his Truth Social account, expressing his gratitude to King Mohammed VI and describing the naming of the highway connecting Tiznit and Dakhla in his honor as “a great honor.”

Trump wrote in his post: “Thank you, His Majesty King Mohammed VI, King of Morocco, for this great honor. It is a great honor! I look forward to traveling the entire length of this great highway someday, and I hope it will be soon.”

The video presents the highway as a strategic project linking the north of the kingdom to its south over a distance of 1,055 kilometers, highlighting its role in strengthening connectivity within the southern provinces and supporting the royal initiative aimed at enabling Sahel countries to access the Atlantic coast.

The video also evokes the depth of Moroccan-U.S. relations, noting that Morocco was the first country to recognize the United States in 1777, and that the Treaty of Peace and Friendship signed between the two countries established the oldest continuous diplomatic relationship in U.S. history.
