His Highness the Amir of Kuwait receives a phone call from the British Prime Minister

His Highness the Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, received a telephone call this evening from Andy Burnham, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, who congratulated him on His Majesty King Charles III’s appointment of Mr. Burnham to form a government.
During the call, the two sides reviewed the historic ties between the two countries and their friendly peoples, as well as a number of issues of mutual interest and the latest developments on the regional and international fronts, particularly concerning the current circumstances facing the region, exchanging views on these matters. His Excellency also reaffirmed his country’s steadfast support for the State of Kuwait and its friendly people, and its backing for all measures aimed at safeguarding Kuwait’s sovereignty, security, and stability.
His Highness the Amir expressed his sincere gratitude and appreciation to the Prime Minister, wishing him good health and well-being to continue the path of development and prosperity, and extending best wishes for further progress and advancement for the friendly British people.
