The Kuwait Lawyers Association, in collaboration with WKEEL.AI, launched the “Wakil” legal AI platform, attended by a number of legal professionals and legal technology enthusiasts, after more than three years of research and development. The platform is specialized and relies on Kuwaiti legislation, judicial precedents, and legal principles.

The platform includes more than 280,000 judicial precedents, updated daily by a specialized legal team, alongside continuous updates to legislation, regulations, and decisions. This provides lawyers, legal advisors, government entities, and researchers with advanced tools for legal research, analysis, and drafting.

For his part, Khalid Al-Suwaiyan, Secretary General of the Kuwait Lawyers Association, clarified that the “Wakil” platform is the result of cooperation between the Association and WKEEL.AI, with the participation of lawyers and legal experts, aiming to develop a legal platform characterized by accuracy and reliability that meets the needs of the legal sector in the State of Kuwait.

Lawyer Abdullah Jassem Al-Bakr noted that the project reflects the capability of Kuwaiti talents to develop specialized technological solutions in the legal field. Meanwhile, Amr Wajih from KDIPA Kuwait emphasized that the platform represents a model of integration between technology and legal expertise, by providing smart tools that support legal research, analysis, and drafting, while keeping the final legal decision in the hands of the lawyer and the specialist.

WKEEL.AI stated that launching the platform from Kuwait marks the first phase of its expansion plan, which targets the markets of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, followed by the Arab world and the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. This will be achieved by developing independent legal systems for each country, tailored to its legislation, procedures, and legal drafting, ensuring the platform’s compatibility with the regulatory frameworks in force in each country.
