Amidst Kuwait, high temperatures drive up energy demand

Forecasts indicate that a severe heat wave will sweep across the central United States, from the Rocky Mountains to the Mississippi River, before extending to the Gulf Coast later in the month, placing significant strain on regional power grids, Bloomberg News reported.

The U.S. National Weather Service issued heat warnings and advisories stretching from Montana to Texas, including Dallas, where maximum temperatures are expected to reach 38°C on Saturday and remain at or above that level through at least Wednesday.

With rising humidity levels, the heat index could reach 42°C. Southern California and Arizona will also experience another heat wave, with maximum temperatures in Phoenix potentially hitting 47°C today.
