Trump: We will immediately launch an investigation into Europe's looting of American companies

US President Donald Trump said on Truth Social that the European Union is returning to its usual practices, directly targeting major US companies by fining Apple $15 billion without any reason, Meta $3 billion, Amazon $2.5 billion, and many others, adding, “We just learned that Google has been fined an additional $1 billion without any explanation.”
This brings the total fines imposed on Google to more than $18 billion.
Trump pointed out that this illegal and discriminatory practice began on a wide scale during the first year of Joe Biden’s administration, but it will not continue under his administration, stating that the United States is not a “piggy bank” for Europe, and “we will not allow it!”
He warned, saying, “Let this fact serve as evidence that we will immediately launch an investigation under Section 301 into the ‘looting’ of US companies, and consequently the looting of US taxpayers, and the European Union will pay a heavy price for this illegal and unethical behavior.”
He noted that he had warned about this behavior repeatedly and affirmed that the penalties would be fully lifted, and that he expects to impose significant tariffs on them as soon as possible.
