Iraq: No validity to reports of US proposal to Iran for ceasefire

The Iraqi Presidential Media Office stated in a statement that “the allegations contained in the report published yesterday by The New York Times are baseless and have no connection to reality.”

Earlier, The New York Times reported that Iran had rejected a U.S. proposal for a temporary ceasefire, which was conveyed by Al-Zaidi during his official visit to Tehran yesterday.
