Jürgen Klopp Appointed as New Manager of the German National Football Team

Jurgen Klopp was appointed on Friday as the new head coach of the German national football team, succeeding Julian Nagelsmann, who was dismissed following a disappointing campaign at the 2026 FIFA World Cup in North America.

Bernd Neuendorf, president of the German Football Association (DFB), said at a press conference in Frankfurt: “We are very pleased to be able to present Jurgen Klopp as our new head coach today.”

Klopp is renowned for his successes during his tenures with Borussia Dortmund and, in particular, with the English club Liverpool.
