Iranian resentment strikes Al-Abdali
In a new, culpable escalation that defies international laws and norms and crosses every red and non-red line, Iranian treachery continued its malicious hostile actions against Kuwait, the latest manifestation of which occurred yesterday with repeated attacks on the Al-Abdali border crossing.
The Ministry stressed in a statement that persisting in these blatant and repeated attacks constitutes a serious escalation and a direct threat to regional security and stability, reflecting a systematic hostile approach that is unjustifiable and unacceptable. It reaffirmed Kuwait’s full and inherent right to self-defense, in accordance with Article 51 of the UN Charter, and its commitment to taking all necessary measures to safeguard its sovereignty, protect its territory and resources, and preserve its security and stability.
Earlier, Colonel Saud Al-Atwan, official spokesperson for the Ministry of Defense, announced that Al-Abdali was subjected to repeated attacks by hostile drones yesterday afternoon, resulting in material damage but no casualties. He clarified in a statement that specialized teams immediately responded to the incident and took necessary measures to secure the site in coordination with relevant authorities.
Al-Atwan added that explosive ordnance disposal teams from the Land Force continued surveying, securing, and clearing drone debris in accordance with approved technical procedures to ensure the site’s safety and freedom from any risks. He emphasized that the Armed Forces continue to perform their duties with high efficiency, maintaining constant readiness and preparedness to protect the nation’s borders and ensure its security and stability.
For his part, Brigadier General Mohammed Al-Gharib, official spokesperson for the General Fire Force, announced that central Al-Sabbiya and Al-Abdali fire teams managed to control the fire, noting that losses were limited to material damage with no reported casualties.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in a statement that the latest regional developments, particularly the current escalation and its repercussions, were discussed during the call, along with efforts to enhance diplomatic solutions to help preserve regional security and stability.
In this context, several Gulf and Arab countries announced their firm rejection of Iranian attacks on Kuwait, Bahrain, Jordan, and Iraq, affirming their solidarity with the targeted states to protect their security and stability.

The Sudanese government reiterated its full solidarity with Kuwait, Bahrain, Jordan, and Iraq, affirming its support for all measures aimed at preserving the security, stability, and sovereignty of these countries.
For his part, Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Hussein Taha expressed his strong condemnation yesterday of the ongoing Iranian aggression targeting several member states of the Organization, including recent attacks on Kuwait, Bahrain, and Jordan, asserting that these constitute a blatant and irresponsible violation of the Organization’s charter and principles.
In a statement, Tafa said these attacks contradict the rules and resolutions of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, which affirm the non-aggression against neighboring states, non-interference in their internal affairs, and the avoidance of actions that destabilize their security and stability. He stressed that such practices are incompatible with the spirit of Islamic solidarity upon which the Organization is founded.
He strongly condemned threats issued by the Houthi terrorist militia, particularly its threats to close the Bab al-Mandab strait, considering that such threats necessitate taking strict, deterrent measures and a firm regional and international stance to put an end to the militia’s crimes and ensure respect for international charters and the implementation of international law principles.
He emphasized the importance of protecting the security of waterways, safeguarding freedom of navigation, and not infringing upon the regional maritime infrastructure related to energy resources, calling for accountability for anyone threatening the security and natural endowments of the region, and resolutely confronting the terrorist acts committed by this militia and its supporters.
He added that the Houthis’ threat to close Bab al-Mandab represents a new chapter in their ongoing siege of the Yemeni people and an attempt to subjugate them by halting the flow of humanitarian and developmental aid. He noted that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia continues, in coordination with the legitimate Yemeni government, to provide humanitarian and developmental support to alleviate the suffering of Yemenis, including supporting the government budget and providing necessary petroleum derivatives to operate power stations.
He reiterated his full solidarity and support for Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and Jordan, affirming the Organization’s backing for all measures taken by these countries to preserve their security, stability, and territorial integrity.
Yesterday, Major General Mohammed Al-Gharib, the official spokesperson for the General Fire Department, announced that firefighting teams from As-Sabiyah and Al-Abdali centers managed to control a fire that broke out at the Al-Abdali border crossing in the north of the country after it was targeted by hostile drones.
Al-Gharib clarified in a media statement that firefighting teams began dealing with the fire immediately upon arrival, completing the suppression and control operations. He confirmed that no human casualties were recorded, and the damage was limited to material losses.
