Foreign Ministry: Al-Abdali attacks constitute a blatant violation of Kuwait's sovereignty

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the State of Kuwait’s strongest condemnation and rejection of the ongoing, egregious aggression launched by Iran and its proxies against the country, which today targeted the Abdali border crossing through a series of hostile drone attacks. This constitutes a blatant violation of Kuwait’s sovereignty, a direct threat to its security and stability, and a grave breach of the rules of international law, the United Nations Charter, and Security Council Resolution 2817.

The Ministry emphasized that persisting in these overt and repeated attacks represents a serious escalation and a direct threat to regional security and stability, reflecting a systematic hostile approach that cannot be justified or tolerated.

The Ministry reaffirmed Kuwait’s firm commitment to its full and inherent right to self-defense, in accordance with Article 51 of the UN Charter, and to taking all necessary measures to safeguard its sovereignty, protect its territory and assets, and ensure its security.
