Al-Tabtaba'i mourns Sulaiman Al-Badr: His imprints are firmly embedded in the journey of education
The Minister of Education, Eng. Sayed Jalal Al-Tabatabai, and the educational community, mourned the passing of former Minister of Education Dr. Sulaiman Al-Badr Al-Qanaei, who passed away after a national career filled with dedication and loyalty in serving education and the country.
In a statement, the Ministry of Education said that the deceased was one of the educational figures who devoted his life to serving the educational mission and contributed sincerely to the nation’s service, leaving behind a notable educational and academic legacy, with enduring imprints on the path of education, and prominent contributions that helped prepare generations of Kuwaiti youth, driven by his belief in the educational mission and its role in building individuals and achieving national progress.
In another development, the Ministry of Education announced the opening of the window for submitting appeals by Grade 12 students in the scientific and literary sections, as well as religious education, regarding the results of the second-term exams. It clarified that appeals will be accepted for three days until the 25th of the current month, with a maximum of three subjects per request, and that applications must be submitted electronically only through the ministry’s website.
In a separate context, Acting Director of the Arabic Language Technical Guidance Department, Wahsh Al-Dosari, said that the club aims to refine students’ personalities and enhance the concept of linguistic wealth acquired throughout the academic year, while fostering teamwork, participation, and cooperation among students, enabling them to understand the nature of debates and accept differences and diverse viewpoints.
For his part, Debate Club Director Talal Al-Shammari said that registration is still ongoing at the club, with a total of 130 registered students. The club receives students daily, with two days for boys and two days for girls, starting from the primary stage up to high school. He noted that students participating in the club acquire skills such as analysis, expression, discussion, speaking, and listening.
Meanwhile, President of the Evening Summer Club for Special Education (for boys), Saud Al-Khalifa, affirmed that the club is part of the summer clubs launched by the Ministry of Education, aiming to provide opportunities for students with special needs to make productive use of their free time in a safe educational environment that contributes to developing their physical, artistic, and social skills.
