Kuwait Achievements offers 200 field training opportunities for youth this summer

Layla Hilal Al-Mutairi, CEO of Kuwait Achieve, affirmed that the association focuses on helping Kuwaiti youth build a better future by providing them with training opportunities that contribute to developing their skills and preparing them for integration into the job market. She noted that the third edition of the “Kuwait Achieve Field Training Opportunities Exhibition” offers 200 training positions for young people at 12 of Kuwait’s leading companies this summer.
In a statement, Al-Mutairi said the exhibition, which opened last Tuesday at the Symphony Complex and ran for three days, supports young people in securing diverse vocational training opportunities across various fields and specializations. She explained that the event is held for the third consecutive year in collaboration with several companies that provide training for university students and recent graduates, aiming to prepare them for the job market and help them gain experience that enhances their chances of securing jobs aligned with their ambitions and capabilities.
She added that the exhibition offers more than 200 training opportunities during the summer, allowing young people to make productive use of their annual leave through practical experiences that refine their skills and develop their abilities. Personal interviews with applicants are conducted during the exhibition period, with admission results and the selection of qualified candidates for training positions announced after the event concludes.
Al-Mutairi pointed to the strong turnout at the exhibition, noting that the booths of participating organizations saw significant attendance from young people eager to take advantage of the available training opportunities.
She clarified that Kuwait Achieve provides accepted participants in the third edition of the exhibition with pre-employment training courses before they join their selected companies, aiming to prepare them for the practical phase and enable them to maximize the benefits of their training period. She noted that the training programs last approximately three months, after which participating young people receive certified certificates documenting their training experience and the skills and expertise they acquired.
She emphasized that the vocational training program implemented by “Achieve” for years has helped bridge the gap between young people and the job market, particularly the private sector. She explained that while some students initially hesitate or feel apprehensive about working in private companies, the training period offers them a genuine opportunity to experience the work environment firsthand, understand its nature and requirements, and then make informed decisions based on practical knowledge and experience.
She noted that the program has resulted in a large number of young people joining the private sector on a permanent basis, either at the companies where they underwent training or at other firms. She affirmed that practical experience helps young people discover their potential and career inclinations, while also providing them with a clearer vision of the career path that best suits their ambitions.
She mentioned that the “Achieve” field training program operates throughout the year, not just during the summer, with ongoing announcements of available training opportunities via the association’s Instagram account.
She added that the exhibition has provided more than 100 training opportunities in each edition in previous years, with the number rising to 200 this year amid growing interest from young people in undergoing training experiences and securing practical opportunities that help them prepare for the next stage of their professional lives.
Al-Mutairi revealed a growing interest among young people in new and unconventional employment and training opportunities, noting that some are now embracing prospects that may not fit the stereotypical image of traditional jobs, such as training in cafes and the automotive sector. She viewed this trend as reflecting the awareness and flexibility of new generations in seeking diverse career paths and choosing experiences that align with their passions and ambitions, moving away from traditional perceptions of certain professions and roles.
For his part, Mohammed Ghannafri, Deputy Chief Executive Officer for Human Resources and Legal Affairs at Al-Mutawaa Real Estate Company, stated that the company’s sponsorship of the Kuwait Achievers Field Training Exhibition for the second consecutive year, and its hosting of the event at the Symphony Complex, stem from its belief that human capital development is a key driver in achieving sustainable development and enhancing the competitiveness of the national economy.
Ghannafri added that through this initiative, the company strives to contribute to building bridges of cooperation between the private sector and educational institutions, thereby helping to prepare national cadres equipped with knowledge and practical experience, capable of keeping pace with the evolving demands of the labor market.
He emphasized that Al-Mutawaa Real Estate Company believes that investing in national talent is an investment in Kuwait’s future, pointing to the company’s continued support for initiatives that enhance youth readiness, reinforce a culture of learning and development, and help prepare a generation capable of leading the development process and achieving sustainable value for society and the economy.
For her part, Dalal Al-Dharban, Director of Corporate Communications and Investor Relations at Kuwait Real Estate Company, said that the company’s official sponsorship of the Achievers Field Training Exhibition stems from its conviction in the importance of supporting young people as the generation of the future and Kuwait’s face. She affirmed that the private sector’s role extends beyond providing job opportunities to encouraging young people to develop themselves and contribute to building a better future for the country.
Al-Dharban explained that sponsoring the exhibition provides young people with the opportunity to apply for field training positions, helping them prepare for the labor market by gaining practical experience and familiarizing themselves with the work environment and its requirements. She stressed the importance of providing such opportunities to students and recent graduates before they transition into their professional lives.
She also emphasized Kuwait Real Estate Company’s continued support for the Achievers Association, noting that the partnership between the two parties has been ongoing for years. The company looks forward to continuing this collaboration in the coming years, aiming to provide more training opportunities for young people and support their qualification and empowerment to enter the labor market with confidence and competence.
