Guterres: Middle East situation 'out of control'

The UN Secretary-General warned on Thursday, during a meeting of the Security Council, that the situation in the Middle East has become “out of control.”

Antonio Guterres said, “The situation is out of control. It is on the brink of an unimaginable scenario. The region is engulfed in a spiraling vortex of confrontations that continues to expand,” adding that “one crisis fuels another, and one escalation leads to another.”
