Washington investigates potential Russian role in Iran attacks

Four informed sources said that Iranian drone attacks on Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) facilities in the Gulf have prompted intelligence analysts to investigate whether Russia provided assistance by supplying Tehran with information on targets or advanced drone technology.
The sources, who spoke on condition of anonymity due to the national security implications, said U.S. intelligence officials have not yet reached definitive conclusions regarding the possibility of Russian involvement in the attacks on CIA facilities. However, the effectiveness and apparent precision of the strikes, along with broader Russian technical support for Iran, may serve as potential evidence of Moscow’s engagement.
