Al-Saiigh Honors Stars of the Ora Under-20 League

“Ora Rewards,” the award-winning loyalty program under the Alshaya Group, hosted a special closing ceremony to honor players of the Under-20 Ora League. Launched in 2025 in partnership with the Kuwait Football Association, the event was attended by Ayman Al-Husseini, Deputy President of the Kuwait Football Association for Technical Affairs, Hamoud Alshaya of the Alshaya Group, along with several association officials and prominent sports and media figures, at the Alshaya Group headquarters in the Alshaya Tower.

Hamoud Alshaya of the Alshaya Group said, “Today, we celebrate local sporting achievements and honor athletes whose efforts and excellence contributed to an exceptional season filled with competition and success. This recognition reflects our firm commitment to supporting youth, enhancing the local sports landscape, and harnessing the power of sport to build more cohesive communities. Through the Ora League, we are proud to support young Kuwaiti athletes who embody the values of discipline, integrity, and dedication.”

This successful partnership extends the Alshaya Group’s initiatives in community engagement, including Starbucks’ sponsorship of the referees academy affiliated with the Kuwait Football Association, a move that reflects a shared vision to support youth development and advance sports in the region.

For his part, Ayman Al-Husseini, Deputy President of the Kuwait Football Association, praised the positive impact of the ongoing partnership between the Association, the Alshaya Group, and the Ora Rewards program following a season brimming with successes.

Al-Husseini stated, “This partnership has significantly raised the level of competition among teams and players. Furthermore, extensive media coverage, including television broadcasts of matches and the recognition of the best player in each round, has added unprecedented momentum to the competitions.” He added, “We extend our sincere gratitude to the Alshaya Group and the Ora Rewards program for their outstanding sponsorship, which played a crucial role in supporting and developing young athletes and achieving this success.”

Concluding his speech, Al-Husseini congratulated the top three teams in the tournament: Al-Qadsia, the league champions; Kazma, the runners-up; and Al-Sahel, in third place. Individual achievements from the 2025–2026 season were also honored, with Abdullah Al-Qarazi receiving the award for Best Player in the Ora League, Sulaiman Al-Masri for Best Goalkeeper, and Bandar Al-Azmi for Top Scorer. He expressed his wishes for all individual award winners to achieve further success and brilliance in the upcoming seasons.
