Al-Yousef's meeting with FIFA officials

The President of the Board of Directors of the Kuwait Football Association, Sheikh Ahmed Al-Yousef, held a meeting with FIFA Secretary-General Matthieu Chazaud and FIFA Global Football Development Director Arsène Wenger, on the sidelines of attending the 2026 World Cup final between Spain and Argentina.

The meeting discussed arrangements for an upcoming visit by Wenger to Kuwait to inspect the progress of the Blue Sprouts Academy, which is supervised by the Kuwait Football Association. Wenger praised the efforts made by the Association and its focus on youth categories, particularly through the establishment of a school that allows young players to train in a suitable environment. He emphasized that these steps form the foundation for the long-term development of the game.
