Zain First Division League Resumes on Saturday

The Competitions Department of the Kuwait Football Association has decided to resume the First Division Zenith League matches next Saturday with the start of the fourteenth round, with the competition set to conclude on August 6. The tournament had been suspended due to events unfolding in the region, and its schedule was adjusted ahead of the new 2026-2027 season.

The fourteenth-round matches will be played at 8:45 p.m. on Saturday, featuring Yarmouk against Al-Sahel, Al-Salibikhaat against Al-Jazira, Khaitan against Al-Shamya, and Burqan against Sporty, in line with the principle of equal opportunity among teams.

The race for the two promotion spots to the Premier League has narrowed down to three teams: Al-Sahel, who lead the table with 29 points; Yarmouk, in second place with the same number of points; and Al-Salibikhaat, third with 28 points, making the upcoming rounds decisive in determining which teams will be promoted.
