The National Bank of Kuwait organized a workshop to highlight the security and safety systems implemented within its headquarters and all its branches, in line with global best practices, as part of its firm commitment to providing a safe and healthy working environment for both its employees and clients.

The workshop, presented by Sheikhah Al-Zamil, Head of the Safety Management Systems Unit at the bank, saw strong attendance from staff across various departments. The session aimed to introduce the latest technologies and systems for protecting human and technical infrastructure, as well as procedures for handling early warning systems, automatic fire suppression systems, and safe evacuation protocols during emergencies. It also reviewed business continuity protocols and other related measures.

This workshop underscores the bank’s investment in the latest global safety systems to build a framework capable of responding immediately to any challenges, thereby ensuring the protection of clients’ and all stakeholders’ interests, mitigating risks associated with the work environment, and adhering to the latest local and international regulatory and supervisory standards.

The event enabled participants to learn about the direct communication mechanism with emergency response teams in the event of an incident, understand emergency plans, and recognize the importance of providing accurate information promptly. It also included training on directly managing injuries that may occur, enhancing employees’ capabilities, and improving their response plans.

The bank emphasized that the safety of its human resources is the cornerstone of the success of its operational processes. It noted that updating and developing safety systems is not merely a preventive measure, but an integral part of plans to enhance readiness for any emergency situation, ensuring the uninterrupted provision of banking services at the highest levels of safety.

The bank is committed to conducting mock evacuation drills and organizing numerous workshops and awareness lectures to raise the level of awareness among its staff, ensure their thorough understanding of how to operate and interact with its approved advanced safety systems and technologies, and strengthen employee preparedness to handle any emergency situations.
